The Major Brothers was a tag team of Brett Major (Zack Ryder) and Brian Major (Curt Hawkins). They debuted on ECW defeating Matt Striker and Marcus Cor Von. They later faced Elijah Burke and Marcus Cor Von, this time losing. They were soon drafted to Smackdown! defeating Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Noble. After they lost to Deuce N' Domino a few weeks later, they did not appear until October 12, 2007. On November 9, 2007, they won a battle royal, and became the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Champions MVP and Matt Hardy, but failed to win the titles. At the 2007 Armageddon pay per view, The Major Brothers dressed as Edge and interfered in his match, letting him to retain the World Heavywieght Champion Belt. They soon changed their names to Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Michael Cole had named Hawkins, Ryder, and Edge "The Rated-R Entourage".
At The Great American Bash, Hawkins and Ryder won the WWE Tag Team Championships from The Miz and John Morrison in a fatal four-way match. On the September 26, 2008 edition of Smackdown, they lost their titles to Carlito and his brother, Primo Colon. On December 5th, they returned in a tag team gauntlet match against Jeff Hardy and Triple H. They also participated in a battle royal for the last spot in the Elimination Chamber, but were both eleminated by The Great Khali.
On April 15, 2009, Zack Ryder was drafted back to the ECW brand. After that, Curt Hawkins hasn't been seen from television since.
